Fountains & Waterscapes

Dancing Fountain & Music Waterscapes

Music Fountains (as they are sometimes known) were previously only available on extremely large scale projects like the Magic Fountain of Montjuïc in Barcelona. The emergence of quality fittings for smaller commercial projects has led to the production of systems compact enough to use in domestic and retail settings.

Water Art Fountains use an electronic controller to make water spouts of changing height and colour. Underwater LED lights change colour, while use of solenoid valves give fast-responses, to display varying coloured spouts and water jet sizes that react to the tempo and style of music being played. The fountain controller enables the water feature in your garden appear to dance, providing an original and decorative fountain feature in your garden, lobby, pond or rockery.

The numerous fonts of water react to rhythm, with fountain spouts continuously changing height and colour providing a rich artistic effect. A central nozzle is surrounded by a series of independent nozzles on a base that comes in a choice of a circular or square shaped layout. These systems include a programmable control box that can play DVD & CDs, have an audio out compatibility and include a remote control. There are a choice of modes, depending on the mood you wish to achieve. Like all our fountain designs, these systems can be incorporated into almost any environment or home water feature.

Residential & Commercial Custom Fountains

Water Feature Water Feature At KayHays Gardens can build and landscape your perfect water fountain. We source all the materials required to create individual fountains that reflect your desires. Different water art styles can also be created with control valve adjustments that change an individual nozzle's water pressure and flow rate, giving greater height and scope variation.

Installation of various nozzle types and depths can further increase your options in design, giving any combination of: spout height, spray shape (tower jets, needle spouts, arch, fan, crown, mushroom or dome), fall and gurgle.

Leaf Matter & Successful Filtration

Fountain leaf matter Pond Debris Filter Fountains with close trees and plant overhang can collect a lot of debris, clogging filters and reducing water quality. (see image to the left)

A successful installation of the pre-filter double core Matala EzBio 20 (see image right), provides an efficient mechanical filter. It can be screwed to 40mm Halia and AquaScape Pumps. Combined with an appropriate pump, such installations can make ponds & fountains with close plantings, clear and easily maintained.

At Kent Fish, we have decades of experience in providing the perfect combination of Fiter equipment to meet the needs of any situation.

Fountain Nozzle Adaptors (multiple types)

Pictured below are example of different nozzle types and some of their effects. Made using a small 4000 L/hr pump in a small demonstration pond. These same water effects can be increased by 4 to 5 times by using 10,000 or 16,000 L/hr pumps, resulting in much larger displays of water. The nozzles, fittings, placement, pumps and pipe diameters can be designed to modify water pressure and display presentation.

Tower Nozzle Spouts (multiple sizes)

Tower Spout Nozzles (in different sizes)The water from these stainless steel nozzles are usually installed in the vertical position, creating an upward water column that falls back on itself.

Available in a variety of sizes:

A variety of water shapes can be formed, resembling towers, with variable heights and roughness which can be enhanced by the use of coloured lighting. Below are a few examples of the resulting shapes that can be consistently achieved through differing nozzle size, depth of submersion and control valves to regulate water flow. In these spout examples we have used a submersible Hailea pump (capable of up to 15,000L per hour) in a 210 litre mini-tank using various nozzle sizes and a valve to alter water flow rates.

Tower Nozzle Spout Examples

The examples below are created by placing various nozzle sizes at varying positions including; 150mm-200mm below the water level, 100mm-150mm below the water level, with the nozzle only partly submerged and positioned with the nozzle exposed above water level. The variety of tower effects can be seen below. These examples were performed using a 16,000L/hr pump.

Pictured below is an example of a fully adjustable multi-directional nozzle. Made from solid brass it features a centre nozzle with two concentric circles of spouts, the direction of every one of which can be customised in angle to provide diversified and distinctive shapes. Adjustable direction nozzles, which not only spray upward but can also be set to spray a multitude of other directions.
